Hello there 3rd graders of 2009-2010! 

A blog is something new we are going to do in school.  It is a great way to talk about books!  We will get to share about what books we are reading!  We might even decide to read a book based on what your friends say!  You are going to love it! 

So your job is to tell us:

• what you are reading.  
•  one thing you like about the book you are reading.  
•  if you would recommend the book for others to read! 

So…. have fun reading and writing!!!

Please tell about a book or story you are reading during read to self time.  When writing about the book please remember to:

• write about the story
• make a connection (text to self or text to text)
• use grade appropropraite capitalization and punctuation
• if appropriate respond to peer’s entries

On this page I would love to hear about the books you are reading.  Please tell me the title and author of the book.  Let me know what you think of the book.  Do you like it?  Would you recommend it to a friend?  I can’t wait to hear from you!

After you write about a book, please comment on another classmate’s response.  Tell them if you have read the same book or maybe by the same author.  Let them know if their descriptions make you want to read the same book!  Have fun talking with your friends! 

Tell about a book you are reading during read to self time.  Try to get your friends interested in the book too!  Sell the book!
